Early intervention
Why early intervention is essential:
Based on the rising global rates of neurodevelopmental disorders — especially in the Arab world — it is critical to evaluate and support children aged 0–3, especially those exposed to environmental deprivation, through tailored early intervention programs. This significantly improves developmental outcomes.
Providing early services to this age group of children identifies many problems in the future in terms of what children may be able to do, and without the rate of behavioral changes, including providing early services may be more effective if provided at the appropriate time in the child's life.
Risks of delaying intervention:
Worsening developmental delays
Widening gaps between the child and peers
Increasing difficulty acquiring motor and cognitive skills
Language and communication problems
Delays in language acquisition
Difficulty expressing needs, leading to frustration or challenging behaviors
Behavioral and social challenges
Trouble engaging with others or forming friendships
Struggles adapting to settings like school
Lack of independence
Delays in daily skills like dressing or self-care
Extended dependence on others
Academic impact
Difficulty with attention and focus
Pre-academic skill challenges in reading, writing, and school readiness
Don’t wait... Early intervention is the key.
